In August 2011, the Association of Optometrists, moved into
new central London headquarters in Clerkenwell. The building is a 1960’s
printing works which has been extensively refurbished and it is situated in
Woodbridge Street, Clerkenwell, near to City University and Internationally
reknowned Moorfields Eye Hospital. The striking office decor, with its fashionable open plan
and warehouse look, is modelled on the London offices of Moonpig greeting cards.
Our four-level building is also the home for Optometry Today, the
LOC Support Unit and Optometry Giving Sight.
The new facilities includes a suite of meeting rooms and
training facilities including a multifunctional lecture theatre seating up to 100 delegates, with full multimedia and
AV capabilities. Additional breakout rooms and exhibition area complete the
conference and meeting venue.
Woodbridge Street has excellent transport connections. The
nearest station, Farringdon, has three tube lines and Thameslink, and is
scheduled to be on the new Crossrail connection.
